approved fanlisting for the relationship between Urahara Kisuke and Shihouin Yoruichi, two characters
from
Bleach, a manga series by Kubo Tite that was later made into an anime.
According to
TAFL, a fanlisting is "a
web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need
a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved
fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject."
This fanlisting was adopted from
Jordy in April
2010. <333 It was also previously owned by
Alexandra
and
Misao.
The current layout features two manga images of Urahara and Yoruichi, one from the present and one
from their youth. It uses textures from the now defunct Tre-xture. The members list is powered by
Enthusiast.
Yoruichi and Urahara are childhood friends who grew up together and trained together; they played
everyday in the secret underground training grounds that Urahara built for them. The two later
joined the Gotei 13. Eventually, Yoruichi became the captain of the 2nd Division and commander of
the Special Forces (Secret Mobile Corps), while Urahara became the third seat of the 2nd Division.
When a captain's position opened up in the 12th Division, Yoruichi recommended Urahara for the spot;
Urahara passed the test and became captain. After Urahara was set up by Aizen Sousuke to take the
fall for Aizen's hollowification experiments, Yoruichi threw away everything - her captaincy and
position as head of the noble Shihouin family - to help Urahara and their friend Tessai escape to
the living world.
Tessai describes Yoruichi and Urahara as being best friends. There is an ease to their relationship,
an inherent understanding and trust that the two have that doesn't require words - they just
instinctively know what the other is thinking or feeling. That unspoken trust/understanding extends
to the battlefield as well, which we see when they fight together to save Ichigo-tachi from Ulquiorra
and Yammy. Yoruichi's actions in abandoning everything for Urahara demonstrate the depth of their
relationship and how they would do absolutely anything for each other. The two are confidants, and
there is no one they trust more than each other. I also personally believe that they are more than
just best friends, but sadly, that hasn't yet been shown in canon; however, the two are just so hot
together, how can they not be shacking up?
